I am a U.S. American with British and German roots who has lived and worked in Vienna since 1988. With over 30 years in the international training and development field, I have worked in a wide variety of places, some as far flung as Osaka, Chengdu, and Cairo, and have covered a broad spectrum of interrelated topics including intercultural competence, leadership development, team work, as well as stress management and resilience building. A university lecturer, independent trainer-facilitator and organisational coach, I work in English and German, online and on-the-ground.
I earned a B.A. with honors in East Asian Studies and an M.A. in International Business. Licensed for a variety of psychometric instruments, I also successfully completed Modules I & II of the Ashridge Coaching for Organisational Consultants program in March 2010 and became a certified change management coach in July 2025.
In June 2019 I completed the Certificate in Resilience Coaching from Wellness Professionals at Work and in November 2020 rounded off this qualification with the Diploma in Mental Skills Training from Institut für Mentale Erfolgsstrategien.
In January 2024, I achieved the Foundational Practitioner Certificate for the 6 Team Conditions, followed by the Advanced Practitioner Certificate in April 2025.
I am an active member of the Society for Intercultural Education, Training, and Research (SIETAR) and the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and previously served on the Steering Committee of the Women’s Career Network (WCN) in Vienna as well as the Faculty Development Committee at Webster Vienna Private University.
In addition, I work as an associate at a select group of training / consulting firms. Currently, these are:
Lighthouse Organizational Development
Glomacs Training and Consultancy
Whether training, teaching, or coaching, I consistently receive the feedback that participants feel safe with me and ready to speak openly about their challenges at work. This, the insights generated by my input and questions, along with targeted skill-building, lay the foundation for new ways of looking at and therefore new, more effective ways of responding to and behaving in challenging professional situations. This, in turn, provides the basis for achieving desired results at a new level, making people stronger at work.
