Team Effectiveness

For many years my work with teams or groups has involved helping them get off the ground faster and work together ever more productively and constructively. Here I draw particularly on my proven ability to create an open and welcoming atmosphere, where people feel free to speak up and bring in parts of themselves they have not previously felt comfortable showing at work.

Increasingly, however, I am working with the 6 Team Conditions model to help leadership teams in NGOs and of not-for-profit organizations support their people in fulfilling the organization’s mission even better, especially in the face of multiplying challenges and stagnant or even diminishing resources.

Key projects:

  • Building better communication and collaboration among the members of the executive team as well as with their direct reports (a group in which 12 out of 16 of the members–or 75%–were new to their positions) (in German)
  • Integration of a new department head into a group, with a focus on intercultural communication and a service mindset at a UN (United Nations) organization in Vienna
  • Retreat for partners in an international law firm using the NBI (Neethling Brain Instrument) to strengthen collaboration in order to create greater value
